Entry Level Referee Clinic

Redding - March 4-13, 2014

Redding Youth Soccer League will be hosting an entry-level referee clinic in March. The successful student will have taken 18 hours of instruction on the Laws of the Game and pass a US Soccer Federation exam of 100 questions. Upon successful completion the new referee will be able to work youth games anywhere in the USA. Certification will be valid through December 2014, after which time an annual certification fee of $45 will be due.

The cost for this clinic is $25. If the certification exam is passed, there is an additional $45 fee payable to the State referee association. There are twenty spots currently available and a Wait List will be formed, if necessary. Minimum age is twelve (12) years old on March 13, 2014.

How do I schedule an Entry Level Referee class?

  1. Email Jeanne Turner DDI to let her know you are interested in hosting a class at: jtsoccerref@hotmail.com
  2. Secure a room that will seat 25 students with tables and chairs, VCR, TV and DVD player, chalk or white board.
  3. Set dates and times... must equal 18 hours and be last at least three days with a test day to follow. Jeanne will line up an Instructor.
  4. Email the above information to Jeanne ASAP so I post it on the District 9 web site.
  5. Your League sends a check for $270 payable to: CNRA, before the class begins to Jeanne Turner DDI, 405 Mill St. Mt. Shasta, Calif. 96067
  6. Order your books at least 3 weeks early. Send and email to me with your number of books requested and where to send them. That same day you also need to send a check for $8 per set/per student payable to CNRA to: Jeanne Turner DDI, 405 Mill St.,  Mt Shasta, Calif. 96067

Sending the Class check and the book check at the same time is very helpful to me.When the students pass the class there will be $40 check needed from each student payable to CNRA. You may charge more than that if you want your students to also pay for their books and a portion of the class fee. However, anything over the $40 will need to be on a separate check payable to your League. Students should be at least 15 years old.
